The Four Pillars of Social Selling: Pillar 3 - Developing Relationships through Sharing & Engaging

Social media has revolutionized the way businesses connect with their clients, offering a treasure trove of insights. However, simply listening to your clients is not enough. To truly make an impact, you must use the insights that you gain by listening, to share and engage with relevant content. In this blog post, we will explore how to utilize the insights you’ve gained through listening (see Pillar 2!) to share relevant, educational, and engaging content, and how to engage with other’s content.

Once you have an understanding of what topics your prospects and customers are interested in talking about and learning about, you have the opportunity to share and/or develop relevant content that directly addresses their pain points, interests, and aspirations. By tailoring your content to their specific needs, you not only strengthen your connection with your clients but also position yourself as a trusted resource.  This builds credibility for your brand (see Pillar 1!!), fosters trust, and encourages your clients to engage with your content, ultimately leading to increased visibility and awareness.

Sharing content isn’t enough though!  Think of it like someone standing at a networking event, and only talking, never allowing anyone else to respond, or share their own POV.  It’s not much of a conversation, is it?

Social media provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with your clients. Responding to comments, addressing inquiries, and participating in conversations on other people’s content demonstrates that you value their feedback and opinions. By actively engaging with your audience, you create a sense of community and foster loyalty. Additionally, showcasing success stories of your clients not only amplifies your influence but also reinforces the notion that your clients' voices matter.

Sharing and engaging with relevant content on social media helps build a strong reputation. By consistently delivering valuable information, insights, and solutions, you establish yourself as a trusted authority in your field. Clients will begin to associate you with expertise, quality, and reliability, which enhances your reputation and attracts new customers.

With successful social selling, the importance of sharing and engaging with relevant content on cannot be overstated. By leveraging the insights gained from listening to your clients, you can create meaningful connections, enhance your reputation, and expand your influence. Embrace the power of social media engagement, provide value to your clients, and watch as your pipeline flourishes.
